Ida in the tunnel

Child play
Hi everyone,
Here’s an image from a few weeks ago. My daughter is playing with water. It was beautiful light so I just had to take a few shots. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by.
By the way. In a few weeks time you can expect a few wedding shots uploaded to the blog. I’m really looking forward to it. If you like what you see (and got a wedding to look forward to) please feel free to contact me. More to come on this exciting subject.
Bye for now.
Ida and the crock
Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since I last posted something on my blog. I have been taking a time off from photography. Needed a break. Hopefully I can get back again… Well, I have two weddings coming up so to be honest I don’t really have a choice…
Anyway, this is Ida, my daughter, looking up on her crock backpack. Hope you like it. i took it for an assignment on TMELive.com. The theme for the assignment is GREEN.
Thanks for stopping by.
The dancing queen
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by. The image above shows my daughter dancing. I borrowed a lovely Nikkor 105 f/2 lens from a friend and decided to shoot Ida.
The light was very low, 1/4 sec @ f/3,5, so the images weren’t that great because of the blur. I then realized that I could use the slow shutter to my advantage and asked Ida to start to dance. As you all know – a little bit of blur is a mistake, a lot of blur is artistic
. This is what happened here.
Be happy… see you soon.
Ida and Hugo
Went to my sisters last weekend to take images of toys. Yes, true. My nephew, Casper, has images of his favorite toys framed and up on his walls in his room. I do this every now and then. I will post a few of these shortly. First Casper has to select which ones he likes the most.
I also took the opportunity to shoot Ida, my daughter and her other cousin Hugo. These two 2,5-year-old’s are amazingly funny. Every time they meet they start running. I got them to stay reasonably still for a few seconds. If you look at these images large you see they are not critically sharp but I don’t care.
Hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by.
Ida
This is Ida, my daughter. This image is taken a few weeks ago on a skiing holiday. She has just taken a shower. I love this image and the way she looks into the camera. It’s not super sharp, there’s a bit of camera shake blur going on. Hope you like it. Have a nice weekend.

Btw, have look at my latest video. It’s all about exposure and how to get the best quality image possible.
Moa and Ella
Last weekend I took Moa and Ella with me on a 30 minute informal photo shoot. They were playing in the snow and I took pictures. They are lovely. They also like to be photographed. Which is great.
For me it’s a treat having people in front of the camera and not only trees and piers
.
Here are a few samples. Hope you enjoy.

Ida and I
Ok, here’s Ida, my daughter, and I. My wife have been saying for quite some time that she’d like a picture of me and Ida on her desk at work. Well, now at least there’s a picture
Not much to say. The weather is crap. Windy and rainy. Well, the truth is that from a photography point of view that’s pretty ok, apart from the rain.
Crappy weather means good skies…
Casper
This is Casper, he is the older brother of Hugo. He’s probably going to be a photographer to. Every time we meet he wants to borrow my camera and whenever he does he takes a lot of shots of whatever is in front of the camera.
He was particularly interested in the flash I had with me the other day at the beach.
Hugo
Hi everybody,
Yesterday we had a party at the beach. Hugo had his 2nd birthday. We were extremely lucky with the weather. 20 deg. C. Clear blue sky.
Obviously a clear blue sky is not optimal for photography. However, I brought my flash with me so I think I managed to keep the shadows under control pretty well. It it always a challenge shooting kids. They tend to ignore you basically the whole time. Anyway, I’m quite pleased with the result.
