Photo critique – Peter from New Mexico, USA
Hi everyone,
Here’s a photo critique that I did on a beautiful image by Peter from New Mexico, USA (not the UK as said in the video).
This is my first ever review of an image and it was great fun doing it. I’m very glad and want to say a big thank you to Peter for submitting the image. I hope the review is useful for you. Please let me know what you think.
Most of the future reviews will be done in Swedish. I’m recording those for a Swedish photo website called Fotosidan.se.
The making of “?” – part II
Hi all,
Finally, here’s part II of episode 3. The making of “?”. Again, sorry for the delay.
Let me know what you think.
Video on exposure
Hey folks,
Here is another video. I know I’ve promised you part II of the making of “?” and it will come. I just squeezed in this one first.
It’s about exposure. Some of you may think that making a video about exposure seems unnecessary. I don’t agree. This video is all about the concept called Expose to the right. If you haven’t heard of it or would like to know more about it and how it can increase the technical quality of you images then have a look.
I hope it all makes sense. Please let me know what you think. If you have ideas on what you’d like me to record or talk about feel free to send me an e-mail or add you thoughts to the comments section.
Thanks for stopping by.
The making of “?”
Hey everone,
Here you go. Here’s part 1 of episode 3 in the “The making of ” series. As before part 1 covers the work in Lightroom. The previous videos can be found here.
Hope you enjoy it and I’m very interested in your feedback. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Btw, part 2 has to wait a couple of weeks. This is because my graphics card on my PC broke down yesterday!! Arghh. Not good. HP is picking up my PC this afternoon and they estimate I’ll get it back after 10 working days. Well, I’ve heard that before and it usually ends up being a lot longer.
We’ll see. Anyway. Be happy and go and make pictures.
Thanks.
The making of “the end of the world” part II
Here’s the second and last video of the second episode in the “The making of” series. I call this one The making of The end of the world. Part one can be found here.
The purpose of these videos is to share my ideas on image capture and image editing. I’m hoping to give you yet another photographer’s perspective on how to approach an image and what to keep in mind.
I was aiming at something like 15 minutes and I spend like an hour last night cutting it down but I only got down to 21 minutes. Well, maybe that’s the best I can do?
Personally I like videos that are a little longer. You don’t have to view the entire video all at once.
Again, I hope you like it and please let me know what you think of both the image and the video.
Making changes as I go along is not easy so I may end up changing the approach in the future.
The next episode can be expected at end of Jan. Christmas is just around the corner and 2010 starts with a week of skiing.
I’ll keep blogging and uploading image to Flickr though.
The making of “The end of the world”
Here’s the first video of two of the second episode in the “The making of” series. I call this one The making of The end of the world.
The purpose of these videos is to share my ideas on image capture and image editing. I’m hoping to give you yet another photographer’s perspective on how to approach an image and what to keep in mind.
This first video is a little too long and maybe too little action is going on. I’ll try to speed things up in the videos that will follow. Also the volume is a little too low on this one.
I hope you like it and please, please, please, let me know how I can make these better and more informative in future episodes.
The Mindful Eye
I got an image listed as Photo of the Week on the mindful eye.
